My Internship at Lief! Lifestyle
During the last year of my study at ‘Grafisch Lyceum Rotterdam’ I had to do an internship.
My goal was to find an internship where I could really express my childlike design style.
When I heard about Lief!, I knew right away that this brand would suit me perfectly. During my job interview I admired all the products they made.
Lief! Lifestyle started their brand in 2005 with a small and colourful collection of baby and children’s clothing. Lief! since then has grown into an international lifestyle concept. It remains, because of its unique combination between fashion and lifestyle, a typical Dutch colourful design with a big variety of products for the whole family.
On the first day of my internship I was allowed to join them at their summer of 2018 collection photoshoot. My first job was to make a behind the scenes video of that day. Since then many other photoshoots followed and a lot of video’s were filmed and edited by me.
As a graphic designer, making videos wasn’t the only projects I worked on at Lief! I have worked on various social media and website banners. Other creative projects include magazines, newsletters and their website.
I have learned a lot during my internship at Lief! Lifestyle. Not only in the Adobe and Microsoft programs that I was using, but especially what it was like to work together in a team, how to handle criticism and create work that really represents their brand identity.
