Illustrating a Supply Chain Collaboration Infographic

For one of my colleagues at Moolenaar, I created a poster to visualise the project she was working on. The concept behind the poster began with the idea of growth and development. The design shows a tulip growing from the roots upward, representing the different stages of her project.

At the base of the flower are the roots labelled “Ketensamenwerking & Integratie”, symbolising the foundation of collaboration and integration. From there, the leaves represent the ongoing elements that support the project, such as governance and compliance, strategy and policy, and privacy and safety. These elements nourish the project, helping it to grow and flourish.

At the top of the stem, the tulip blooms into a beautiful flower, standing for innovation and optimisation, the successful outcome of her work. The flower itself was placed inside the shape of a light bulb to represent a new idea taking shape. Light bulbs are often used as symbols of inspiration and creativity, and in this case, it also gives the sense of a small ecosystem where ideas can grow and thrive.

This design was created for my colleague who works in IT and was leading the implementation of a new ERP system for the company. She wanted to use the poster on her LinkedIn and other social media channels to share her contribution to the project and its results.

Moolenaar is a packing company that supplies flower bulbs to major retailers around the world, so using a tulip, the most iconic flower bulb in both the Netherlands and the company, was a natural choice. The colours and fonts used in the design were based on the Moolenaar brand palette to ensure it matched the company’s existing visual identity. The Moolenaar logo was placed in the lower corner for consistency.
